Position: 2nd Shift Forklift Operator

  • Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (with a paid 30-minute lunch break)
  • Pay: $18.50 per hour + $1.25 shift differential

We’re looking for individuals with experience in areas such as production, manufacturing, warehouse operations, general labor, forklift operation, quality control, material handling, and equipment operation. The role starts with case picking but offers future training opportunities in other areas.

Role Overview

As a Forklift Operator at DHL, you’ll play an essential role in keeping our supply chain running smoothly. You’ll move stock within the warehouse, load and unload shipments, and use various types of forklifts and other equipment. In our fast-paced, team-oriented, and safety-conscious environment, your work will help move products that people need and depend on every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts or other powered equipment to load, unload, move, and stage materials for 80% of your shift
  • Accurately pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the correct number and types of products are loaded
  • Maintain precise records and reports for inventory accuracy
  • Adhere to all OSHA and MSDS safety standards
  • Verify load accuracy, check for product damage, and report any variances
  • Manage equipment batteries or LP tanks and monitor power sources as needed
  • Keep the facility and equipment organized, clean, and in good condition
  • Assist with physical inventory counts
  • Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Valid forklift driving certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Able to pay keen attention to details
